Classroom Activities March 23-27

Week of March 22nd

Early Out Wednesday

Reading
We will be finishing our non-fiction unit this week (Abraham Lincoln).  In language we will be studying perspective.

Math

We our transitioning into our geometry unit.  The first concepts we will be working on is perimeter and area.

Social Studies
My class will be learning about coordinates, cardinal directions, intermediate directions, along with other map skills.  Maps test will be on Wed/Thur this week.  Afterwards we will be working on our group neighborhood project.  This project will have your child construct streets, roads, and landmarks.  They will also create map key and other map tools to help them map out their very own neighborhood.
