Classroom Activities October 27th-31st

Week of October 26th

-Early out this Wednesday, Oct. 29th

This week is red ribbon week. Please dress accordingly to support being drug free:

Reading
The students will be reading Roberto Clemente, so beware that take-home-stories will be going home. We will continue to work in our comma books and review subjects and predicates along with quotations.

Math
Students will be constructing bar graphs, picture graphs to show data.  Next, we will be covering multiplication and division.  It might be a good idea to get a head start and practice some flashcards!

Science
-Physical Change and Chemical Change Experiment this week.  Test will be on Friday or Monday depending on how much we get through.  Study guides will be going home to complete later this week

Week of October 19th

-I will not be here Monday.  Mrs. Massey will be subbing my place

-MAPS testing will resume on Monday, with the Math portion and finish on Friday, with the Lang. Arts.

The students will be reading Pop’s Bridge, so beware that take-home-stories will be going home. We will continue to work in our comma books and review subjects and predicates.
Math
Ch1 Test is on Monday.  Test will be on accumulative skills such as regrouping, rounding, and subtracting 3-digit numbers.  Next, we will be diving into the representing and interpreting data with use of charts, graphs, and number lines.
Science
Mixtures and Energy test will be on Tues/Wed this week.  After Tuesday your child will have Mrs. Staffileno for Life Science!
Welcome Mrs. McMorris’s home room class.  You will have me the next 6 weeks as we learn about the physical part of science!
