Spelling Words

 

In place of spelling this week we will be working on handwriting        

         

Reading
We will be testing on Kamishibai Man on Tuesday.  Dictionary worksheet packet is due at the end of the week. 

 

Math

My students will still be starting division this week.  All multiplication packets are due by the end of the week.  Please make sure your child is reviewing his/her flash cards daily. 

 

Science

Welcome to my science class! 

 

In my science class we will be studying Physical Science.  Our first chapter will be on different types of matter.  We will be doing many experiments in my class.  Also, beware that your child might have some research projects going home.  You may help them with these assignments!

Reading
The students will be reading The Kamishibai Man .  Be aware that sometime this week your child will be receiving a take-home book of the story to read to you.  When finished, please sign and return tomorrow. 

In language we will do dictionary work.

 

Math

My students will still be working on their multiplication packet.  This week we will be introducing the Assoc. and Dist. Properties of mult.  Next week we will be diving into some division. Please make sure your child is reviewing his/her flash cards daily. 

 

Science

-Mixtures and Energy

We will be having our final test this Friday.  After Friday, your child will be moving on to Earth Science for a 6 week block.  Wave research assignment will be going home later this week.

The students will finish reading The Harvest Birds  Be aware that sometime this week your child will be receiving a take-home book of the story to read to you.  When finished, please sign and return tomorrow. 

In language we will be doing a creative writing paper, along with constructing paragraphs.

 

Math

We have started our multiplication/division unit.  Your child will be required to study their flashcards for 15min. Mon-Fri. nights.  After they study their flashcards please sign on the sheet.  These sheets will be checked every Mon. and be a part of their grade.

We will not be having spelling this week due to the early out and short week.  In place of spelling, we will be doing cursive.

         

Reading
The students will finish reading Max’s Words.  Be aware that sometime this week your child will be receiving a take-home book of the story to read to you.  When finished, please sign and return tomorrow. 

In language we will work on parts of speech and a fun Max’s Words project.  Test will be on Thursday.

 

Math
