Reading
We will be reading the novel, Stanley, Flat Again. Students will be completing a comprehension packet as we read the story.  Also, we will be reviewing suffixes and prefixes.

 

Math

-Measuring quarts, gallons, pints, and cups

-Choosing appropriate measurement oz and pounds

Measurement test Thursday this week!

 

Social Studies

We will begin studying landforms this week.  The students will construct a landform packet and flipbook.

Classroom Activities

Week of Cinco de Mayo

-Early out Wednesday the 8^th

-Talent Show Practice Thursday, the 9^th after school

-Field Day on Friday the 10th

-We will be Map testing throughout the next couple weeks during math skills and reading

 

Spelling Words       These spelling words will be for next week.  This week we will be doing handwriting, due to maps testing and play practice!

Math

-Measuring Distance using Standard measurements.  My students will also be working on conversions (feet to inches, quarts to gallons…ect). We will also be doing gallon man, an art activity that will help guide the children through conversions.

 

Social Studies

We will finish our Map project this week and begin our landforms packet.
