Reading - AR required points for 1st quarter is 10 points.  Periodically I’ll set a pace schedule to make it easier to achieve their goal. They will do a Star test on Wednesday, August 29th to see what level of A.R to read.

Mr. Leintz

Welcome to Eldergrove!

My name is Chris Leintz and I am your child’s third grade teacher at Elder Grove.  I am very excited for this coming school year!  This is my first year as a classroom teacher.  I have spent my last three years as a para-professional, substitute teacher and basketball coach at this wonderful school.   I have been patiently waiting for this opportunity, as the children and staff have been delightful to work with.
In my personal life, I have a wonderful wife and we have been married for two years.  I’m an avid dog lover and have two, whose names are Zoey and Norman.  I enjoy outdoor activities in the summer such as fishing, camping, walking dogs and playing softball.  In the fall and winter I enjoy watching football (preferably the 49ers) and playing city league basketball.  My real passion in life is teaching!  I love seeing the progress and development of students socially and academically.   I believe that the more involved parents are in their child’s education, the more successful they will be.  Parents are always welcome in my classroom.  If you are interested in coming to visit, share an idea, or help with an activity, please let me know.  The best way to contact me is during school hours is by either email, leintz@eldergrove.k12.mt.us, or calling the school at 656-2893 ext. 304.
This year will be a new adventure for all of us and I am greatly looking forward to teaching your child.  When the school year begins, I ask you to closely read over the student handbook and the information packet that Mrs. Staffileno, Mrs. McMorris, and I have put together.  There will be an open house and BBQ on Monday, August 20th.  The BBQ will be from 5:30 to 7:30 and the open house will be 6:00-8:00.  I look forward to meeting my new students and their families there.
Thank you and have a great rest of the summer!

Mr. Leintz
